Community: Why We Need It, How to Find It, and How to Work Through Past Hurts

Listen here: Spotify | Apple Podcast | Stitcher

My favorite African proverb says, if you want to go fast, go alone. But if you want to go far, go together. I've learned that we were made for community. It is impossible to heal alone, grow alone, or to become who God has called us to be alone. I know some of us have been hurt wounded in community. I want to challenge you to lean into what Rachael has to share today. We talk about:

Why it's so hard to find community

  • How hurt is inevitable--it's risky

  • How God calls us to stay and work through hurt

  • How to deal with the root of bitterness

  • Overcoming the comparison trap

If you are looking for a community to be a part of, join my Facebook Group- We are Stronger Together It's a diverse group of Christian women who are learning and growing together on this life journey. I can't wait to connect with you there.

About Rachael Wade:
Rachael is a wife, mom of two, and teacher who is passionate about encouraging & equipping women with the word of God. She believes in the power of the "in process" every day story. For this reason she created Olive Us a platform where women #recount2remember the goodness & faithfulness of God. When Rachael isn't teaching, writing, and holding space for stories, she's folding laundry, driving kids around, and hanging out in her comfy pajamas at home with her family.
